CAPRICORN
First Aid is about a chef with hemophilia, who accidentally severs the tip of her finger, while chopping carrots. She is so caught up in trying to finish the meal she doesn’t notice the finger or the blood. Eventually she passes out and as she is lying on the kitchen floor she hears a voice that sounds like her dead grandmother (whom she dearly loved). “First, my dear,” the voice says. “Aid. Then work.” When she comes to in the hospital the first thing she sees is a white box with a red cross on it. In her stupor she takes it to be her own grave. ” Oh no!” She cries, “I’ve let myself bleed to death.” A nurse enters and she asks him, “What is that red cross?” He glances up, “It’s a first…” He pauses listening to her heartbeat through the stethoscope, “aid kit.” Capricorn, while you may know concretely that you need to take care of yourself first, now would be a good time to actually implement and integrate this concept more completely. Don’t sacrifice your fingers in order to feed someone or everyone else.
